In an interview with MTV Australia, Schumer perplexed fans as she revealed she had regretted not getting a chance to feel John Cena’s balls during the shoot.
Amy Schumer admits John Cena was ‘actually inside her’ during the s*x scene
In the movie, Schumer played the character of Amy, who is afraid of commitment and doesn’t believe in monogamy until she meets that one good guy
John Cena made a cameo in the rom-com as gym-rat Stephen, who was Amy’s character’s love interest for a while. Though Cena didn’t have much to do in the film, he had to shoot a s*x scene with Amy Schumer, and that’s when things turned awkward.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Cena opened up about how he ended up starring opposite the comedian.
He took on the role of gym-addict Steven in the movie which follows Schumer’s ‘commitment-phobic’ character Amy as she ends up falling in love for the first time.

She’s in a relationship with fitness fanatic Steven at the start of Trainwreck, so Schumer and Cena had to act out an an intimate scene.
It’s the opposite of sexy, though – as Steven simply can’t get protein and working out off his mind when Amy asks him to ‘talk dirty’ to her.
And while chatting to Stern, the professional wrestler reassured fans he was wearing a modesty pouch to cover his manhood during the sex scene.
Describing it as a ‘Spandex sock’, Cena said that Schumer and the film’s director, Judd Apatow, went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable filming the intimate moment.
He explained that they initially cleared the room so that he didn’t feel intimidated, however, Cena ‘didn’t care’ about stripping off anyway.
I mean, this is a guy who presented an award at last year’s Oscars while apparently ‘completely starkers’ – so a closed movie set should have been a doddle for him.

“That scene started with a camera operator, focus puller and a boom guy…by the end of the scene, they had catering set up in there, everybody was in there,” Cena joked. “But I think the more comfortable you can be with it, the more you lose yourself in the thing.”
He revealed that the inspiration for the hilarious sex scene had come directly from Schumer’s real life, as she once had ‘sex with a guy who was way to athletic for her’.
Discussing why he took on the role despite previously telling Stern he ‘wasn’t going to become an actor’, Cena said he came to some major realisations in and around 2015.
He explained that he reckoned his body had another five years left in the tank for WWE, even though he would have probably tried to ‘stretch it into ten’.
“That’s a blink of an eye in the WWE.” Cena said. “You’re on the road so much, you blink your eye and a decade goes by.”
He added that he realised wrestling isn’t something that he can do forever, while acting gave him a creative outlet which his wrestling character had somewhat restricted.
“I had complete creative freedom over how I could curate my character, but I couldn’t like turn bad – that limits what you’re capable of,” he said of his WWE persona.
“Playing the same character over and over again for 15 years, every week without an off season – I still love it, that’s why I go back.
“But then someone gives you an opportunity of like, ‘Do you want to be this weird, awkward naked guy?'”
And when someone presents you with an opportunity like that, you’ve got to grab it with both hands, according to Cena.
